First tutorial - Feltball

Felted Ball

You will need:
wool
soap (dish soap works well)
warm water

1. Take little bit of wool and make little ball. It must be quite compact. Take thinly spread hank at wrap it around the ball in the other direction, so the fibers cross.
2. Put little bit of soapwater on around the ball
3. Start roll ball very gently between your hand
4.When the surface colours no longer move and seem pressed into place, rub and press harder, squeezing and rewetting in the soapy water as necessary. When begin to press the ball in your hands much like you would work a piece of clay ... pressing and shaping.
5. Do some rinsing in cold water to remove the soap. Do some final rolling and shaping in your hands to make the wool into a ball shape.
6.While the ball is still wet, it can be shaped with firm hand pressure and some rolling into an egg shape or flattened on one side or rolled into a round shape. It will probably dry overnight.

A little bit about us!

Southborough CofE Primary School

Southborough CofE Primary School is situated in Southborough, close to the town of Tunbridge Wells, Kent, UK. We are located approximately 38 miles south of London in the beautiful county of Kent. Kent is known as the Garden of England, with amazing lavender fields, orchards, vineyards, oast houses and castles. It is England's oldest county, with an exciting past. Places of interest include Canterbury, Maidstone, Rochester, Tenterden, Folkestone, Hythe & Romney Marsh, Sevenoaks, Thanet, Broadstairs, Tonbridge, Dover, Deal and Sandwich.

Greetings from the UK!

Hello Estonia!

We are really looking forward to our Christmas collaboration!

Kind Regards
